Insight

AD Architects is an established practice with a reputation for designing timeless, durable buildings across a range of sectors.

Inspired by some of the world’s best architecture websites, we delivered a series of connected projects to showcase AD’s work at its full potential — with architecture website design at the heart of the relaunch.

Rebrand for relaunch

With a relaunch event in the diary, we kicked things off with a complete brand refresh. As architects, the AD team wanted to be hands-on, and we built a productive partnership from day one.

We created a bold, precise logo built from clean lines that mirror AD’s architectural style. By exploring the relationship between the ‘A’ and the ‘D’, we developed a modern, minimalist mark that works effortlessly across every application.

Keeping the existing palette, we deepened the yellow so it holds its own in print. For typography, we chose Montserrat — clean, confident and easy to deploy consistently across digital and print.

To lock everything in, we delivered brand guidelines to support consistent rollout and build long-term recognition.

Web design

AD invited us to transform their old website. They wanted to compete with the best architecture websites out there — and needed a user-friendly way to manage content without compromising presentation.

Drawing on experience with other architectural clients (including LOM), we knew exactly what great architecture website design needs: project imagery given space, crisp hierarchy, and a structure that makes it easy to explore work by sector, type or scale.

We developed a modular, uncluttered design with clear navigation and purposeful layouts — guiding users towards the projects and letting the photography do the talking.

Web development

Built in WordPress, the site gives AD a future-proof platform that’s simple to maintain.

We streamlined the CMS around how the practice actually works, so adding new projects is quick and intuitive — keeping the portfolio fresh, current and consistently presented.

Copywriting

The best architecture websites quickly communicate values, strengths and experience — without over-explaining. AD wanted to emphasise their collaborative approach, and the long-term value they bring to every project.

Working closely with the team, our copywriter defined what sets the practice apart, shaping content that’s succinct, accessible and aligned with the new identity — supporting the architecture website design with clear messaging and confident tone.

Extending the brand

Beyond the website, we applied the refreshed identity across multiple formats for the relaunch — including branded PowerPoint decks, proposal templates, letterhead and business stationery.

For the documents used in-house, we created templates and guidance so the brand stays consistent over time — whatever the context.
